‘Weightlessness’ has recently received permission for public screening in Iran cinema theaters.
Directed by Mehdi Fard-Qaderi, the film will premiere soon across the country.
‘Weightlessness’ has a feminine story penned by the director.
The main events of the film take place on a wedding night and the storyline focuses on the relationship between various women.
The film shoot took 17 sessions to accomplish, employing long take sequence shooting of 5, 7 and 8 minutes.
“The form and the plot in ‘Weightlessness’ go along with one another while it adopts a narrative rather than formalistic type of storytelling,” the director told media.
Fard-Qaderi also noted that, “I’ve always been interested in making movies featuring portrayals of women because, to me, the complexity of their relationship is so compelling and albeit unpredictable.”
Fard-Qaderi's second feature length movie enjoys a cast team made of Tina Pakravan, Afsaneh Bayegan, Leila Otadi, Anahita Nemati and Bahareh Kian-Afshar.
